Brooke's Last day before Locks of Love!

I am in love with Brooke, what a delight she is. Here are a few of Brooke before we cut her hair off for locks of Love. Brooke is not only pretty on the outside, but she has a heart of gold. As you can see she really shines. I love you so Miss Brooke.

5 eye exams - and three in new glasses!

We took all five kids in for eye exams a week or so ago, and now we have three sporting the latest eye wear fashions. I think they look cute. We picked up the glasses at Wal-mart, after we did a little shopping and Brooke said Mom look at all the signs over each row of food - they tell you what's in that row. Look at this and look at that - it seems we were seeing some things for the first time in the clear. We didn't really know the girls had this bad of eye sight. Well better late than never!

5 kids + one strong spud from outter space!

Our Brooke wanted to get scientific and dive into the inner workings of the growth of an Idaho potato (this because one of our best friends, Michelle is from the great state of Idaho and loves her spud heritage!) The cup was filled with water or H2O to be more scientific, the spud got a few tooth pics added for support and on the window ledge it went. With a little time our spud gave way to a personality of its own. Knowing what I now know - I don't know if I can eat him or any of his fine relatives. GO SCIENCE, GO BROOKE, and GO IDAHO SPUDS!

Tonsils and Adenoids A Thing of the Past X2

After more rounds of Strep than I wish to count (15 in 6 months), missed days of school, the pharmacist & Doctors office staff becoming my best friends, missing the fun of my birthday because of strep, buying more Popsicles and 7-up than should be allowed - WE HAD HAD IT! Alan, Will, and I had our tonsils taken out years ago, so our next step was to put the two worst offenders under the knife. Durum roll please......the day after Christmas Luke and Brooke went to UVRMC and Dr. Ence helped save the day. Luke may be cute, but he is not the best at being sick or not feeling well - he is a nut.

Dr. Ence, two nurses, and a intern came in to check out the kids right before the surgery, he asked when they had eaten last, and wanted to make sure that they didn't have any metal on or in them. When Dr. Ence asked Luke - I was waiting for him to say no.......when he said yes I was surprised. The Dr. asked where and Luke moved his weight to his left check in bed and said "Dr. I have buns of steel". I asked the doctor to drug him extra and to take him first. Well they both lived, and I did too even when Luke came out of surgery with a bag holding his tonsils - he wanted them for a picture - I don't think that I will eat meat balls ever again!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEETIE BROOKE!

October 28th 1998 - What a wonderful day! This is the day I first held little Miss Brookie in my arms, my first little girl. She had and still has the biggest brown eyes. They can melt anyone. We called her Sweetie right from the start, and she hasn't let us down. I love being around this fireball. I'm so grateful for this wonderful girl, named after her Grandma Peay, she can't help but do awesome things in her life. I wish that she would take her time growing up, it is going way to fast. XOXOXOxoOX to you my sweetie, I love you more than words can say. 10 years old at 12:42 pm.

Brooke our Main Street Girl!

Our little Miss Brooke is growing up way too fast. I have been having fun teaching her new things - she really is helpful. She has been learning to cook - I told her that in my old age I would be coming over for dinner and that I wanted really good home cooked meals. She has also been going on photo gigs with me - she is good. I had better be careful or I could be out of a job.

Our Little Artist - Brooke

Brooke was a featured artist in the Mapleton City art show. Lana Merell is Brooke's teacher, she and her students put on one of the best art shows around. I must say that Brooke is one of the most creative people I know. We use a ton of paper with Brooke around, she also love a good piece of cardboard. She loves it when a big batch of pictures come, because that leave a ton of boxes and cardboard inserts for her to create with. We end up with castles, mini malls, homes for Gracie our cat, and much much more. I think Brooke is the best. A big thanks to Shelly for always supporting my troops - You are very loved.
