Luke, Alan, and I delivered all our Christmas Paloosa Sugar Cookies to friends and neighbors alike, but arriving home, Luke started up the stairs in the garage to enter the house - when Alan saw that mammoth skunk right on the stairs where Luke was heading, so we yelled and he almost ran it over trying to get away.
We call the police to see if we could get a trap, and a trap we got. We put all kinds of yummy treats in the trap and the cat trap was set. Alan thought that it would be a good idea to also put a trash bag around the trap - when we went out to do that the skunk was in the trap, but had not set it off. RATS - Will would have said. Yes, it ran out and under some boxes. After placing the trap in the bag, we went back in the house 3 min later snap. We ran to the door only to see the little tiny skunk inch its way out of the 2" by 2" side hole, than to add insult to injury, our Pepi atempted to get back in the trap - and did!
Alan yelled open the garage door. He kicked the trap out, and yelled again for his right hand gal to now SHUT the door, SHUT the door, being as nice and fast as I am - I DID. I wish this were the end of the story, but by morning the skunk had escaped once again, only to return another day. We hope this day will be at your house. Our house has had enough excitement.
