Each year - Shelly (aka Michelle) and I come up with some crazy idea, with Martha Stewart in mind - she makes it look so easy. You know, the smell of something yummy cooking, neighbors wanting to be your friend to get on the goodies list etc.
Last year we made home-made chocolates. Had we ever made chocolates before, NO, but how hard could it be. $119.00 and 10 hours later, we vowed to NEVER try that again.
This year we were on to the blessed sugar cookie. It did take us the better part of the day, but Christmas Poloosa is a cherished time for me. It never goes to smooth, but that is part of its charm.
Most of all I love spending time with those close to my heart.
I've learned that you need to make time for those you love, then make a memory. I will never think of chocolates, nor sugar cookies the same.
I appreciate and love Shelly to death. She is more than fabulous, she is family. This is my latest attempt at digital scrap booking. I'm having a ton of fun, and the pages have been turning out - this amazes me! I love digital, when my kids or others may want a copy, then I don't have to make 5, but I can just print a few more.
If you were lucky enough to live close by, and HAVE to have the recipe to those heavenly sugar cookies, and want to look at pictures of the three crazy polloosa people. Give me a call and I'll print you a set!
