Well the basketball season is over for the 2008 year and this Mom is glad - The biggest reason that I'm glad is that "I can't take it anymore" - I get soooo into each game, my hands go cold, my heart races, and I leave with only half my voice. Last night was the 7th & 8th Grade 2008 South Valley Slam Tournament, the tournament that our "bad news bears team" wasn't suppose to win, but win we did. Each game I would hear people say "this team - they don't look like much - easy win". NOT SO - our team was GREAT! They really played like a team. Our coach was one of the only coaches that didn't yell at the boys, never got upset, he was always positive, and he played ALL the players - not just his son, or the star players, he made all the players stars. Thanks Coach Young. The team we played for the final game, they were good - really good - tall and big. Have you heard about the little engine that could - that was us, at one time we were down by 9, but we pulled out to win the game by 5 points. A big thanks to Michelle for cheering with me, in a sea of Salem people - we were not very popular (I told you I use my voice each game). The Mapleton JR. High Gym was charged with excitement and energy. Congratulations - Luke! This time the #13 is a very lucky number, but you will always be my #1. I love you
